Taking a stand

by Jacqueline Harrison on November 23, 2011

Following 10 years in business I have evolved to the point of taking a stand against Domestic Violence on a global scale.

This site is dedicated to the eradication of Domestic Violence and abuse in all forms.
I believe that Domestic Violence must be stopped in its tracks. The pathway leading to the death of a child and/or an intimate partner must be interrupted in the early stages. To achieve this outcome, we must do more than swear not to violate. We must each speak up and speak out about the abuse we hear in our neighbours homes. Children and intimate partners do not wake up one day and say; hey today is a good day to die.

Have your say here.

Hi Jacqueline,
I too was abused as a child from the age of 1 by my mother. The abuse was mental, emotional and physical. Maybe that is why we originally became friends. I have post traumatic stress syndrome which I am about to start CBT for early next month. Would love to catch up with you properly for a yarn one day if you are ok with that.

Look forward to possibly hearing from you at some stage. Stay strong mate :) We got to set an example for others in similar positions so we can hopefully empower them to fight back (in the correct ways) against the abuse.
